Hello members!
We’ve been busy behind the scenes and we’ll have lots of great things to inform you about in the near future. To begin, the Secretariat role has transitioned to a new two-person team.
We’d like to welcome these two new young leaders to the CFC: Liam Bissonnette and Jeff Eastman.
As the Manager of Governance, Liam Bissonnette is responsible for managing the group’s administrative tasks and ensuring that all meeting and events run smoothly. With a solid foundation of hockey and other team sports, Liam has always understood the value of teamwork and collaboration. In addition to his team effort, Liam has always had an interest in finance, and is currently working towards completing his Bachelor of Business Administration. His education and experience have given him a deep understanding of cooperative principles, which will be used to help the CFC make informed decisions. Liam feels very grateful for this opportunity the CFC has given him and is excited for his and the groups future.
Jeff Eastman, our Ontario liaison, is taking on the role of Manager of Stakeholder Relations. Jeff will be advocating the CFC to new members, maintaining and establishing relations of trust with previous members, and updating the website with information and communications, among other tasks. Moving on from a 13-year leadership career with Shoppers Drug Mart and post-secondary education in accounting and media, Jeff is enthusiastic to apply his customer service, financial, and technological skills to this new opportunity.
Phil Hemming and Chris Galloway are stepping away from the primary secretariat role, but will still be assisting the CFC Work Groups with their extensive knowledge and experience.
We look forward to cooperating and communicating with you all more regularly in the near future as we turn the CFC website into a main hub of information for our members.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact us through the website comment form or directly at secretariat@cbcucollaboration.com.
